Los Cabos, a land full of contrast… from mountains and dessert to breathtaking seas. It is located on the southernmost tip of the Baja California Peninsula. A long time ago, conquerors and pirates coveted this place; after it became a shelter for fishermen and sailors. Today, is considered one of the most exclusive and beautiful destinations in Mexico. From San José del Cabo, the capital state, to Cabo San Lucas, you will found the famous Tourist Corridor of 20 km, where you can find wonderful resorts. Los Cabos is famous for its exquisite gourmet dining, the professional golf courses and it is also known for being the Sportfishing Capital of the World.


The average weather is dry, desert-like, hot in the summer and mild in the winter. The average temperature of 87°F and the coldest is January at 66°F. The wettest month is June and the best month to swim in the sea is in August when the average sea temperature is 83°F.


How to get there?

The International Los Cabos airport is located only 6 miles from San José del Cabo and 31 miles from Cabo San Lucas. There is also the option to arrive at Cabo San Lucas International Airport only 4 miles from downtown of Cabos San Lucas; this is the only private international airport in Mexico, it offers air taxi services and overall aviation services.


What currency is used?

The peso is the currency used in Mexico and Los Cabos. However, US dollars are accepted.


What is the Voltage?

120 Volts, 60 cycles AC.


What is the typical food?

Some of the prominent dishes are Marin Tacos, Shredded Stingray, Imperial fillet (griddle-crushed shrimps with bacon). We suggest serving these dishes with a delicious clamato cocktail or pitahaya juice, another option could be fresh waters or a Diamana on the rocks, elaborated with a wild plant with the same name, sugar cane alcohol and water; this drink it very popular due to its healthy properties



What can you do?

One of the main attractions is visiting the famous arch of Cabo San Lucas; is a distinctive rock formation sculpted by the sea, where the waters of the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortez are united. When you take a tour you will find that this a popular gathering area for sea lions. If you love to dive we suggest the National Park Cabo Pulmo, a protected area for being the only coral reef in the East Pacific of North America.

During winter you can witness one of the most beautiful natural phenomenon’s: the courtship, reproduction and birth of the gray whale.
